THE CHAPEL OF APOSTLE PAUL « Πολιτιστικός και Ιστορικός Ξεναγός Δήμου Ρόδου

It is located on the south of the settlement of Lindos, at the hononymous port, under the rock of the acropolis. It was built according to the tradition on the point where the Apostle himself preached the word of the Christ, upon visiting the island. The fact that Christianity was introduced to Rhodes since the Apostolic times, apart from the tradition, is also verified by the Acts of the Apostles, according to which, when Apostle Paul, upon concluding his third apostolic course, returned to Jerusalem, visited Philippes, Troada, Mytilene, Samos and Militos, and from there he went to Kos and Rhodes. From Rhodes he went to Patara of Minor Asia.
In front of the church there is one of the most popular beaches of the island.
